{"id":215,"date":"2016-10-19T15:06:30","date_gmt":"2016-10-19T13:06:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/digv030.joanneum.at\/regionaal\/en\/?p=215"},"modified":"2016-12-07T15:07:13","modified_gmt":"2016-12-07T14:07:13","slug":"aal-forum-2016","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/regionaal.at\/en\/2016\/10\/19\/aal-forum-2016\/","title":{"rendered":"AAL Forum 2016"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Coordinator Kurt Majcen has organized and chaired the workshop \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/www.aalforum.eu\/aal-solution-market-success\/\"><u>How can regions get AAL operational?<\/u><\/a>\u201d for the AAL Forum 2016\u00a0in St. Gallen (Switzerland).<\/p>\n<p>Introductory\u00a0presentations \u201c<strong>The need(s) of private care companies (SME) \u2013 what are their expectations on AAL?<\/strong>\u201d (<em>Mike Dorst, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dorstenpartners.nl\/\">Dorst en partners<\/a><\/em>), \u201c<strong>Experiences from an AAL technology provider \u2013 Barriers and Success Factors to market entrance<\/strong>\u201d (<em>Raquel Sousa, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.itime.pt\/\">IncreaseTime<\/a><\/em>) , \u201c<strong>How can pilots be of help?<\/strong>\u201d (<em>Lukas Roedl, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ait.ac.at\/\">AIT<\/a><\/em>) and\u00a0\u201c<strong>Experiences from the AAL Pilot Region Salzburg<\/strong>\u201d (<em>Cornelia Schneider, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.salzburgresearch.at\/\">Salzburg Research<\/a><\/em>) were followed by \u00a0discussions modeled after World Caf\u00e9 principles. About 20 participants worked on the questions below and concluded with some answers:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Is it still a matter of technology? What is missing?<\/em>\n<ul>\n<li>there is no good overview on a quite large number of interesting offers<\/li>\n<li>usability is often still an issue when approaching market<\/li>\n<li>integrated solutions are necessary<\/li>\n<li>clients would like to see personalized solutions based on their real needs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><em>How can (economically driven) bottom-up approaches look like? What are the stimulators?<\/em>\n<ul>\n<li>evidence regarding functionality and efficacy is required by care organisations<\/li>\n<li>end users expect reliable solutions<\/li>\n<li>single points of contact are necessary on regional level for achieving information<\/li>\n<li>SME want to be involved from the very beginning of projects<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><em>How can we achieve representative samples in piloting projects and who is going to pay for that?<\/em>\n<ul>\n<li>the aim of pilots or test regions would be more statistical relevance than representativeness<\/li>\n<li>research questions determine the number of required test persons or households (30, 50, 70, 100\u2026)<\/li>\n<li>funded AAL research projects\u00a0can be more concerned with qualitative assessments; quantitative aspects are an interest of companies, as they want to make business with the products and services later on<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/digv001.joanneum.at\/regionaal\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/2016\/10\/St-Gallen.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-213\" src=\"http:\/\/digv001.joanneum.at\/regionaal\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/2016\/10\/St-Gallen-1024x782.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"604\" height=\"461\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Coordinator Kurt Majcen has organized and chaired the workshop \u201cHow can regions get AAL operational?\u201d for the AAL Forum 2016\u00a0in St. Gallen (Switzerland).
